Who we are & what it’s like being part of our team
At TutorBright, our Tutors are also Mentors. Tutor-Mentors not only help their students raise their academic grades, they also help raise their self-esteem and overall confidence. The goal for our Tutor-Mentors is to create a positive learning environment that is engaging, fun and educational.
All of our tutoring happens 1:1, so each session can be tailored to the needs of the student. This setup also allows for our Tutor-Mentors to develop a rapport with each student. Whether a student is struggling in school or wanting to get ahead, TutorBright Tutor-Mentors work to accomplish the student’s goals and help create a plan that will continue their success in the future.
Support
One of the cool things about being a Tutor-Mentor is that you have independence to go out and build unique relationships with your students. And at the same time, you have an amazing team that you can rely on! If you need additional support with a student, we are there to help. Maybe you need ideas, resources or coaching - just let us know and we will be your support. You can call, email or text us!
Academic Materials
Are you worried about creating a curriculum or coming up with work for your students? The good news is that with TutorBright, you have access to a library of academic resources that can be tailored to the needs of your students! And for each student you are matched with, you will receive a package of materials that have been selected based on the student’s needs. From there, you can easily integrate the interests of your students into the existing TutorBright materials to create fun and interactive sessions.
Rewards
Being a Tutor-Mentor with TutorBright comes with its own rewards. Not only is the schedule flexible since we can work around your provided availability, it is the perfect job to have alongside school or other work! Having some extra income doesn’t hurt either. But most importantly, you’ll be able to see the direct effect that your work is having on the students you meet. You’ll see their confidence, resilience, and independence grow!
Our Hiring Process
1) Application Form
Once you’ve applied using the form below, we will review your application and potentially reach out to discuss some logistical questions with you.
2) Video Interview
If all goes well, we will set up a time to meet with you online to discuss the role in further detail and get to know you better.
3) Group Orientation
The final step is to join us for an online Orientation where you will have a chance to meet other Tutor-Mentors and discuss tutoring strategies, while preparing to start with students.
